Sister Unit is a modular sideboard designed for two sisters.

It consists of two separate units that can function as one cabinet. The larger “Big Sister” unit embraces the smaller “Little Sister” unit, holding it within its form. They connect through an interlocking detail that allows them to slide seamlessly into one another.

While they now live together as a single piece, the design anticipates the future: when the sisters move apart, each takes one unit along, transforming the shared cabinet into two independent pieces.

The units can be placed tightly together as one long sideboard, or slightly pulled apart to create additional space in between. Their flexibility also allows for different configurations, such as positioning them at a right angle to form a corner.
